My current position is Director within our Fire Safety Team to deliver a comprehensive selection of Fire Safety Consultancy Services. I have over 35 years relevant fire industry experience. Delivering fire safety consultancy at all levels, most recently having full responsibility to achieve BAFE SP205 Company Accreditation and growing our capacity to deliver from within.My greatest industry accomplishment was a challenging refurbishment of a 20-storey residential tower block for vulnerable persons located in Birmingham City Centre. I was appointed as the principal fire consultant on behalf of the principal contractor, to provide guidance and influence over fire safety, eg Active and Passive fire protection measures before, during and after the project, finishing off with both Pre and Post Occupation Fire Risk Assessments.I previously was FRACS 3rd party UKAS Accredited by WarringtonFire to deliver Fire Risk Assessments at the highest level across all sectors until the scheme closed. I am NAFRAR Tier 3 registration on the IFSM Register, which deems myself to be competent to practice at an advanced level to include properties categorised as (HRB's) High Risk Buildings. I am recognised as a BAFE Validator for the business SP205 Fire Risk Assessment scheme. Furthermore, and in accordance with the requirements of RICS, I am suitably qualified to complete any Option A outcome of the EWS1 Form. I am a Chartered Building Engineer with CABE, I hold full member grade status of the following Institutes – The Institute of Fire Engineers (MIFireE) Registration Number 00078556, IFSM, IFPO, IET, Fellow Grade of IIRSM and a Professional Member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, registered as a full member with The Institute of Clerk of Works and Construction Inspectorate of GB Inc. I am a Registered Safety Practioner, and I am OSHCR Registered.With recent legislation changes, I find myself frequently delivering Type 1 – 4 Residential FRA's, especially in support of Building Safety Case works which we are partnering clients to create.My knowledge is extensive providing clients with a simple understanding of what they need to do, to comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and other related Fire Safety Legislation. Anstey Horne are a Building Consultancy practice offering Party Wall, Rights of Light and Building Consultancy, the Fire Safety Team is currently positioned within the Building Consultancy Team to support both clients and colleagues alike, eg delivering from within FRAEW and EWS1 services any many many more.I have held a seat on the Fire Industry Association Fire Risk Assessment council for several years. I have only one way of working and that is the correct way, I am passionate about my profession, and professional about my passion.
