Biography

Proactive and flexible Fire Safety Graduate and Fire Risk Consultant, possessing 19 years of experience in auditing, consultancy, and engineering. I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the field of fire safety engineering and fire risk assessing/ consultancy. Holding an Honours Degree in Fire Safety Engineering from the University of Wales, Tier 2 – competent Fire risk assessor, Engineer Technician with the UK Engineering Council, and a Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE), I have consistently showcased a deep understanding and mastery of techniques crucial for ensuring the safety of buildings and the occupants.As a Fire Risk Consultant and Fire Safety Engineer, I have demonstrated a sophisticated understanding of fire engineering concepts that go beyond theoretical knowledge. My experience spans various sectors, including residential, commercial, healthcare, and educational, among others, and currently I actively apply my skills to: • Carrying out Stage A design reviews, as part of the client's Quality Design Review (QDR) strategy. • Carrying out Stage B site visits, as part of the client's Quality Design Review (QDR) strategy. • Carrying out Stage C site visits, as part of the client's Quality Design Review (QDR) strategy. • Carrying out residential external wall phase 1 visual and desktop survey reports. • Carrying out residential external wall phase 2 invasive, visual inspection reports. • Carrying out type 4 fire risk assessments of buildings that are considered to be high risk; at least 18m in height or seven storeys and contain at least two residential units, a care home, or Specialist buildings. • Carrying out Fire risk assessments of buildings that are considered to be high risk; through a work process, at least 18m in height or seven storeys, and containing at least two residential units, a care home. Specialist buildings; containing communication equipment installations or electronic equipment installations. • As a Fire Risk Consultant and Fire Engineer I managed a team of Fire risk assessors, which included planning assessments and prioritizing tasks. I also consult with risk reduction groups, liaising with key partner staff and local authorities.
