Professionally qualified Chartered Safety and Health Professional with a 24-year career as a health and safety professional with practical knowledge and experience of providing health and safety management frameworks and proactive compliance monitoring across various sectors. This experience covers a variety of business sectors and examples include manufacturing, engineering, construction, logistics and warehousing environments. Additional sector experience includes retail, educational establishments, service and commerce, food packaging and distribution, residential and nursing care. Experienced in liaising with operational and facilities management within industry specifically developing health and safety policies and procedures appropriate to health, safety, fire and environmental legislation. Competencies include - but are not limited to - compliance audits, fire risk assessments and fire management, training, liaison with external bodies such as local authorities and fire officers, policy development and review, legionella management, asbestos management, pro-active monitoring and reactive monitoring relating to adverse events and incidents. Current activity includes conducting of complex FRA’s within various sectors such as education, care, residential and motor trade. Role also includes being part of validation team for the internal review of FRA’s within the business as a BAFE accredited validator . Recently completed studying the ABBE Level 4 Diploma in Fire Risk Assessment qualification. Currently studying Fire Engineering Design Level 5.
