Michael has a first-class Bachelor of Sciences degree in Fire and Leadership Studies, achieved at the University of Central Lancashire in 2018.In 2018 Michael completed the level 3 NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management at the University of Central Lancashire.Whilst undertaking fire risk assessments in a variety of premises, Michael completed a 10-day Advanced Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment course provided by the University of Central Lancashire. This fire risk assessment course is an approved course under the Institution of Fire Engineers and is mapped to a level 4 fire safety qualification.Michael has undergone training with Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service as part of a university volunteer placement in which >500 hours of practical firefighting at Blackpool Fire Station was completed over an 18-month term between January 2017 and July 2018.Michael is now working as Head of Fire, managing a business division concentrated on delivering fire risk assessments and fire safety projects for a broad range of commercial and residential property types. Michael also acts as a BAFESP205 validator and conducts quality assurance auditing on other assessors work.
