Pierce, Michael

Michael joined the Fire Service in 1971 and retired in 2001 to take up a post with a national hotel chain as Fire Safety Manager. Electing to become self employed later he still looks after the interests of his former employer along with several other hotel companies. He is now Director of Forensec (UK) Limited and specialises in all fire safety solutions including fire risk assessments, audits, thermographic surveys and fire training. He has successfully attended many of the fire safety courses at the international Fire Service College, Moreton-in-Marsh and is a member of both the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) and the Institute of Fire Engineers. He is registered with the IFSM as a qualified fire risk assessor and has also attained independent accreditation as a competent fire risk assessor at Tier 3 Level under the Warrington Certification Ltd Fire Risk Assessors Certification Scheme (FRACS), the status of which can be viewed at www.warringtoncertification.com/fracs).
