Over 50 years’ experience within fire safety industry nationally and internationally. Was Fire Protection Manager for British Airways for 37 Years.He has presented many technically papers and worked with regulatory bodies on many aspects of fire safety in construction, fire protection system installations, commissioning and testing. He has experience in all types of fire risk assessments, various fire strategies and specialized fire projects. Was a member of the government technical group on the development of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Was a member of the UNEP Inter-governmental panel awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007. Was Board Director, Member of the NFPA Standards Standards Council for over 25 years. Technical adviser to IATA/ICAO on fire safety issues. Is a member of the UNEP FSTOC dealing with environmentally friendly fire systems. Is a member of the International fire systems work group.During his career he has received many national and international honor's including an MBE for Services to Aviation and Environment and the Paul C Lamb Award for outstanding service to worldwide fire safety.
